What's the job outlook?
As the population booms and businesses prosper, the level of construction will
grow. The increased complexity of construction projects due to new
advances in building materials and construction methods will boost
demand for specialized management-level personnel within the construction
industry. The working conditions in the construction industry are
challenging, so jobs often do not attract a sufficient number of
qualified job seekers. This trend is expected to continue even with
projected growth in the construction management field. In fact,
employment for construction managers is expected to increase by
16 percent from 2006 to 2016.*
Employers in today's job market are looking for candidates with a college degree in building
technology. Heald College can provide you with a degree, hands-on training, and the experience
to prepare you for a rewarding career in this growing field.
